SPAIN

The Costa Brava, famed for its rugged coastline and golden beaches, is enjoying a revival as a magnet for discerning travellers. Set to open in spring 2025, Finca Victoria will offer a 38-room retreat crafted from a historic Catalan estate. With panoramic sea views and an enchanting atmosphere, this hotel honours its artistic and political heritage, continuing its legacy as a hub of creativity and warm hospitality.

Finca Victoria’s guestrooms, designed with local artisan furniture, many featuring outdoor showers and verdant terraces, promise an inviting stay. Guests can indulge in two exceptional dining venues, including the Asador de Mar grill, or enjoy bespoke experiences like coastal hikes and private sailing adventures. A pool and spa complete the offering, making it an ideal gateway to the beauty of the Costa Brava.

UNITED KINGDOM

London’s East End will gain a new jewel in April with the opening of the Sir Devonshire Square Hotel, designed by Maison191. This boutique property will feature 81 beautifully appointed rooms, including 11 sumptuous suites. Guests can unwind in the hotel’s botanical courtyard, state-of-the-art fitness centre, or yoga studio, and enjoy exclusive access to The Cover members’ club.

The hotel is home to the second Seven North restaurant and is nestled within the historic Devonshire Square, a serene enclave close to the vibrant neighbourhood of Shoreditch. From Spitalfields Market to Christ Church Spitalfields, the area offers a wealth of cultural and culinary attractions.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Prague, the "City of a Hundred Spires," will soon welcome a new addition to its hospitality scene: the Sir Prague Hotel, opening in March. Situated along the Vltava River in the city’s vibrant New Town, the hotel is perfectly positioned to explore iconic landmarks such as the Dancing House and the Municipal House.

Designed by Linda Boronkay, the hotel’s interiors evoke a cinematic allure, with 76 rooms, an indoor courtyard, a chic restaurant, and a stylish bar. Guests seeking relaxation can enjoy a gym and sauna, ensuring a balance of exploration and rejuvenation.

LITHUANIA

Klaipėda, a charming coastal city in Lithuania, boasts a unique mix of Baltic seaside character and old-world charm. Its Old Town, shaped by German, Scandinavian, and Lithuanian architectural influences, is a treasure trove of cultural and culinary delights. In March, the former National Hotel will be reborn as Reja, a sleek and contemporary haven with 50 rooms, a stylish bar, and a modern restaurant, all reimagined by YesDesign.

Located near the UNESCO-listed Curonian Spit National Park, Reja offers the perfect base to explore the region’s pristine dunes, serene forests, and picturesque fishing villages, making it an idyllic destination for nature lovers and cultural enthusiasts alike.

CYPRUS

Nicosia, Europe’s last divided capital, offers a captivating blend of Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot influences, with a vibrant cultural scene that includes museums, galleries, and historic landmarks. Nestled within the medieval Venetian walls, Amyth of Nicosia is poised to open in February as a sister property to the Almyra hotel in Paphos. This intimate nine-room retreat occupies a villa dating back to the early 20th century. With its original architectural details, such as decorative ceilings, vintage tiled floors, and a sweeping staircase, lovingly restored by Eraclis Papachristou Architects and designer Maria Neophytou, the property blends timeless elegance with modern luxury.

After a day exploring nearby attractions, including the Hadjigeorgakis Kornesios Mansion, Famagusta Gate, and Eleftherias Square, guests can unwind in the hotel’s lounge, restaurant, or tranquil courtyard.

MEXICO

Grupo Habita, trailblazers in boutique hospitality, are set to launch two exciting new venues in Mexico: Hotel Humano in the surf haven of Brisas de Zicatela, Oaxaca, and Hotel Sevilla in Mérida, Yucatán, a city steeped in history. Scheduled to open this December, Hotel Humano reflects the relaxed, community-driven spirit of its locale, offering an ideal retreat for surfers and laid-back travellers. The property comprises 31 rooms, including 8 suites, with interiors crafted by Plantea Estudio to mirror the effortlessly sophisticated yet casual vibe of Brisas de Zicatela, a celebrated surf destination on Mexico’s Pacific coast. Guests can enjoy a central courtyard restaurant, a rooftop bar and pool, and a library, all furnished with bespoke pieces by local artisans.

In Mérida, the capital of the Yucatán Peninsula, Hotel Sevilla will open its doors in early 2025. This historic villa, dating back to the 16th century, has been meticulously reimagined by Zeller & Moye, a design studio with roots in Mexico City and Berlin. The hotel will feature 17 rooms and 4 suites, along with a spa, wellness centre, lush gardens, and spaces for dining and relaxation. Located in Mérida’s oldest district, just a block from the historic main square, guests can easily access local markets and immerse themselves in the city’s rich cultural heritage.
